Every morning, with baby in pram, I walk down a hill, then back up it. I do the same every afternoon. With a one year old, the temptation is high to throw things from the side of the pram. Things which don’t make a sound when they hit the ground, and can be easily “misplaced”.
Such has been the case with dummies in the past, and going along the same path later revealed not one, but two dummies both lost the day previous and both placed carefully in a high visibility area. A long soak in boiled water and steriliser later and voilĂ , a favourite dummy returned. Yesterday, a blanket and a sock went missing and lo, the blanket was folded neatly and placed on a bush. The sock turned up near somebody’s mailbox. It occurred to me that people are generally nice people.
