Before we get too far into this, I wanted to thank the people who made this possible up to this point. Firstly, the people who toil day and night to bring code, hosting, etc. to people like me who don’t know how to use it. I’d like to mention ej.am, WordPress, WhoIs and to a lesser extent PayPal. They all had something to do with actually making this site, and without them it wouldn’t have been possible. Further thanks go directly to Greg Priday.
For the idea I thank Kyle MacDonald and Ebury Press for publishing his book. The funtential of this project is wholly inspired by him. When I say wholly, I mean shared with Aaron Koblin whose idea proved possible, and the other half of this project is wholly inspired by him. Veering off here, this wouldn’t have a point if it weren’t for the people at the ACMI and Stanley Kubrick, whose retrospective they held. Furthermore, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Chris Moore who created Project Greenlight - indirectly causing the folks at Movie Network to buy it up for an Australian version. It was through this I found out about the ACMI and my current partner and wife to-be. I also thank her, deeply, for enduring nine months of gestation for our daughter - to whom this project is dedicated.
